Thermage treatments average about 45 minutes for the face and up to one and a half hours for other parts of the body. A small handheld device is pressed against the target area to heat the deep tissue layers while cooling the visible skin areas. The coolingis felt immediately when the device is pressed against the skin, followed by a subtle deep heat, and then another cooling sensation. Each energy pulse takes 2 to 7 seconds and one can expect to have anywhere from 200 to 800 pulses depending on the size of the area. We work with each client’s personal comfort level to achieve optimum results. The skin may appear slightly red after treatment, but most are able to resume their daily activities with no downtime after the procedure.
