Thermage heats the deep layers of the skin by using radiofrequency (RF) technology. The procedure is safe, and cools the surface of the skin to keep it safe during the process. This deep heating jump starts the body’s natural collagen renewal process. New collagen is formed, which both tightens skin and improves its texture.

Collagen is a protein in the skin’s tissues that keeps the skin tight and youthful in appearance. Over time, and through exposure to the elements, collagen breaks down more quickly that the body can replace it. This can cause negative effects such as sagging or wrinkled skin. By stimulating the natural renewal of collagen, Thermage can help reverse these effects.

Typical skin tightening treatments use lasers and other technologies which operate on the same principle as Thermage, but only heat the superficial layers of skin. Since Thermage uses a unique radiofrequency technology, it is able to reach the deepest skin layers and make a difference where it truly matters.
Thermage helps tighten the upper levels of your skin, while stimulating the production of new collagen in the deeper levels, which means that most see results immediately, however, the skin’s texture will continue to improve over the months following treatment.

Thermage is a great way to reverse the effects of aging on all skin types and colors. The treatment is also not limited to treating the face. Thermage can be used to treat:

What should I expect when getting a Thermage treatment?
Thermage treatments average about 45 minutes for the face and up to one and a half hours for other parts of the body. A small handheld device is pressed against the target area to heat the deep tissue layers while cooling the visible skin areas. The coolingis felt immediately when the device is pressed against the skin, followed by a subtle deep heat, and then another cooling sensation. Each energy pulse takes 2 to 7 seconds and one can expect to have anywhere from 200 to 800 pulses depending on the size of the area. We work with each client’s personal comfort level to achieve optimum results. The skin may appear slightly red after treatment, but most are able to resume their daily activities with no downtime after the procedure.
